Double BLUE-GOLD at Sydney International Wine Competition 2018

2018 Sydney International winners bottleshot

The Sydney International Wine Show has its origins in 1982 and grew out of the International Wine & Food Society, it is a unique wine-judging forum because other wine judgings assess wines alone, but this show involves food in its second-phase judging.

This is the only major, international wine show that judges wines not only in technical terms, but also as a complement to food and the dining experience. The Competition distinguishes its main award with a special term – Blue Gold – to distinguish it from the awards granted by other wine competitions that judge wine purely as an alcoholic beverage.

This year our Estate Shiraz 2015 AND Il Liris Chardonnay 2016 were awarded ‘Blue-Gold’ medals – meaning they were in the top 10% of total wines entered.
