Castelli Estate hosts brunch with an Italian flair to celebrate Vintage 2021.
In Italy the “vendemmia” – the grape harvest – is much more than a mere agricultural event: it is a celebration revolving around the grapes and the people that dedicate their lives into making wine.
Honouring the Castelli heritage, the winery will be open in an immersive experience of the winemaking and grape growing process with this unique behind the scenes tour.
Guests will be able to stomp grapes, taste some of the Castelli most exclusive wines straight from the barrel and understand the critical changes taking place in the vineyard as the grapes mature and in the winery as the wines develop.
Then enjoy a long table brunch in the vineyard with live entertainment from Mr Accordion man and prizes.
The Brunch is part of Taste of Great Southern, a 11 days festival that celebrates award winning wine, delicious fresh produce, and amazing flavours of the Great Southern. Located along the pristine southern coastline and expanding into the mountains and forest ranges it includes major centres Albany, Denmark, Mt Barker, Kojonup and Katanning.
Attendees must oblige to the safety rules of Castelli Estate as they will be in the middle of vintage in a working winery. Enclosed shoes must be worn, and patrons must be fit to walk 300 metres and climb stairs.
Ticket includes behind the scenes tour, barrel tasting & long table brunch and will be sold by Humanitix from the 23 October for $130 per person. Extremely limited seats, so act fast.
